The basic premise of the pitch is that all that “health, safety and welfare of the citizenry” stuff is just girly-man stuff foisted on hard-working frac sand promoters by crazed environmentalists as a way to block the path to riches.
Partly this is a great example of Really Bad Powerpoint. But sadly it’s also a great example of the gold-rush mentality that has overwhelmed this region. Check out the fresh-faced attorneys (with really bad ties) pictured on the last page who are eager to collect lots of fees to help your frac sand project bypass all that regulatory stuff. Grumpy it makes me.
